PIB Cling Masterbatch (Polyisobutylene Compound) for Stretch Film & Cling Film

PIB (polyisobutylene) is the key additive that gives stretch film, pallet wrap and cling film their self-adhesive properties. However, conventional liquid PIB is extremely viscous. It requires heated tanks and dedicated dosing pumps, and the addition rate is hard to control.

Kind Snail’s PIB cling masterbatch pre-disperses high-molecular-weight polyisobutylene in LLDPE and turns it into dry, free-flowing pellets. Simply feed it into the hopper together with your PE resin to achieve uniform, stable cling. No extra equipment is needed, and it works for both blown and cast film lines.

Still Using Liquid PIB? Sound Familiar?

  • Too sticky to pump. It needs extra heating, and cold weather makes it worse.
  • The pump clogs again, and the whole line stops for maintenance.
  • In the same batch, some rolls are too sticky and others not sticky enough. Customer complaints follow.
  • Every drum change means spills, slippery floors, and residue left at the bottom of the drum.

Certifications & Raw Material Sources

👉ISO 9001:2015 certified: The manufacturer is ISO 9001:2015 certified, with PIB compound production included in the scope.

👉One Star Export House: Recognized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

👉Raw materials compliant with food contact regulations: The PIB raw material is supplied by DL Chemical (Korea), and the PE raw material by Reliance Industries (India). Both comply with relevant US FDA 21 CFR food contact regulations.

👉Non-China supply chain: From raw materials to production, no part of the supply chain passes through China. This helps export-oriented film makers meet their customers’ sourcing requirements.

PIB (Polyisobutylene) Masterbatch FAQ

  • What is the difference between PIB masterbatch and liquid PIB?
A:Both use polyisobutylene (PIB) as the active ingredient. The difference is the form. Liquid PIB is a viscous liquid that requires heated tanks and dosing pumps. PIB masterbatch pre-disperses PIB in LLDPE as pellets, so it can be fed into the hopper with PE resin. Dosing is more stable, and the workplace stays clean.

  • Does PIB masterbatch need to be heated?
A:No extra heating is needed. PIB masterbatch is fed at room temperature like standard PE pellets and melts with the PE resin inside the extruder. No heated tanks or insulated pipelines are required.
  • Can it be used for both blown and cast film?
A:Yes. PT-60 and PT-66 work for both blown and cast film, and the Tackifier grade is a low-noise grade designed for cast film. Typical addition levels are 4–6% for multilayer blown film and 1–3% for multilayer cast film, adjusted by film thickness and end use.
  • Can I request a sample?
A:Please provide your process (blown film or cast film), film thickness and application, and we will help recommend a suitable grade.
